WRITERS RESIDENCY PROGRAM
The Writers Residency at Casa Lü Sur offers a dedicated space for writers to immerse themselves in their writing practice. Designed for authors, poets, and literary practitioners at any stage of their careers, the program supports sustained focus while fostering community and cross-cultural dialogue.
Situated in tranquil surroundings, writers are invited to balance solitary creative time with workshops, readings, and exchanges that spark new ideas. Weekly outings to libraries, archives, and culturally rich sites provide inspiration and deepen residents’ engagement with Mexico City’s literary and historical landscape.
Writers’ Meetings & Workshops
Through small group discussions and collaborative sessions with peers and invited literary guests, writers have the opportunity to share their projects, receive constructive feedback, and engage in dialogues that nurture their practice.
Excursions
Weekly excursions offer insight into Mexico City’s literary and cultural heritage, complementing the residency’s focus on quiet, reflective work.

The program concludes with a public reading, where residents present their work in a warm, supportive environment. This gathering serves as both a celebration of their creative journey and a moment of connection with the broader Casa Lü community.
