Funding & Scholarships:

1. Casa Lü Scholarship

Accepted artists who request financial assistance may receive up to $1,000 USD in Casa Lü Scholarship support applied toward the residency fee. This scholarship reduces the total cost but does not cover the full program fee.

Artists who were born and currently live in Latin America may be eligible for an additional $500 USD in supplemental support, applied based on information provided in the application.

2. External Funding Support

Many residents secure additional support through cultural ministries, arts councils, or private foundations. Once admitted, we provide an official acceptance letter to support these applications. You can explore our curated list of external funding resources here.

4. Self-Funded Participation

Some artists choose to cover the program fees themselves. This option helps Casa Lü direct more of its funding resources toward artists who might otherwise be unable to attend.

Requesting funding does not affect acceptance. You may select the option that best fits your situation when filling out the application form.

Companions & Family:

Casa Lü welcomes artist duos, collectives, and family members, recognizing that creative work and personal life often thrive together.

Residents staying in the main house (A, B, C, and D) may invite a partner or companion to join them for up to 7 nights at no additional cost. Longer stays can be arranged upon request.

For residents in La Casita or El Departamento, artist duos, collectives, and family members are welcome to share the space for the full duration of the residency.
