This new body of work draws inspiration from "Las Corridas" in Mexico. In this first iteration, the artist focuses on the tension between the bull and the bullfighter. Death is around the corner, and both contenders' lives depend upon their movements. Death is inevitable, and it will come in a matter of minutes. The amount of pain inflicted on the bull depends significantly on the bullfighter's skills. It's the waving of the cape that draws the bull's attention and his desire to escape the arena in which he has been cornered. The artist sees bullfighting as a mirror of life. The arena is society's rules and regulations we cannot escape from. The waving cape is what draws our attention: the mirages that consume us. Yet, on the other hand, the ruminant bull symbolizes the grasslands, free and grounded.
